What you need to KNOW

hey everyone.

Us student leaders have been praying over the summer and what this next term will look like at Emmanuel. 

In short, we are so excited to continue to head full steam into the summer. 

here is the update:

1. our last bible study of the school year (term) will be next Wednesday April 29. at Emmanuel, Awana and the adults bible study shuts down as well.

2. the cafe will be open every tues & thurs at lunch with two free food days in May. 

3. there will still be Friday night youth events, every Friday in May [see below for schedule]

4. sunday school [4:12 electives] will run every Sunday morning till the end of June

5. summer programs will run June - August at Emmanuel

here is the schedule of what now through May looks like! can't wait to continue to serve Jesus alongside you and dig deeper into God's word

Friday April 24 - Older Adults + Students = Board Games Night @ Emmanuel. 6-9p 

Saturday April 25 - LAUNCH Saturday Night Service - 6p - Bring Somebody!!

Sunday April 26 - Student Sunday Class - 9:30a *Youth House

Sunday April 26 - Church - 10:45a 

Wednesday April 29 - Bible Study - 6:30p *Youth House

9:30a service on Sunday Morning continues till the end of June along with the cafe. here is the friday night events:

sorry for being MIA on this webpage.

can confidently say that the conference was amazing and so was the march break camp. mark and i have crashed and now slowly recovering and our hearts are set on student ministries and making the spring term the best it can be. we have been praying for God to show up HUGE.

MORE DETAILS

·      Bible Study: Gr 6-12. Wednesday Nights. 6:30-8:00pm - studying the book of Acts. Location: Youth House

·      Maple Syrup Festival: sign up for a time slot to help with parking at the maple syrup festival. All the money raised goes to Student Ministries. Serve at the church for a few hours and then head to the maple syrup festival. Dress warm!

·      Laser Quest: show up at 7pm at the church with $15 (per student). Pick up at the church at 10pm. Must let Maddie or Mark know if you are attending before showing up

·      Breakaway: if you would like to serve text Maddie asap. 9:00am-3:00pm. Serving 100 kids on their PA Day – no Friday night youth

·      Older Adult Board Game Event: the date is “to be confirmed” – our hope is to run a board game, snack, testimony, music evening for the “older adults”. Event would run from 6-9pm. We would set up earlier though. Will have a meeting soon to finalize these details – stay tuned!

UPCOMING EVENTS

·      Saturday June 20 – WonderJam @ Canada’s Wonderland in Toronto Ignite is going! We will purchase tickets soon. Price is around $50

·      Bible Study will continue to run until the end of May

·      Friday Night events will continue to run until the end of May

·      June-August will introduce our summer programs! Ignite Students intention is to pick an evening of the week and open the church up. The evening will contain worship, a devotion and then the food and hangout for the entire evening (we have sweet plans for this – xbox, pingpong, soccer at the highschool, basketball nets in the parking lot, road hockey etc!) Promos and more info to come soon – need to invite friends and spread the word

our next free food day is fast approaching and it falls on Chinese New Year … so naturally we are feeding you Chinese Food! yay!

RANGERS GAME

This Friday February 13 we are heading to watch the Kitchener Rangers play hockey!

If you have said you can come (we had to buy tickets in advance) here is what YOU need to know

1) Arrive at the Youth House at 6:25pm - we are leaving at exactly 6:30pm.. please be there on time!
2) Bring $22.00 if you haven't paid for your ticket yet
3) Bring hats and or kits if you tend to get cold
4) Pick Up is around 10:30pm - we will have phones to text/call parents depending on how long the game goes
5) Pick Up @ the youth house
